  • Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice on a telco billing issue and to learn if there are other ways to resolve it.

    On 22 Dec 2025, I activated a CelcomDigi plan via the app at around 13:40. Shortly after, I contacted customer support only to ask how to disable the auto-renewal of the plan.

    I did not request the plan to be cancelled. However, the agent cancelled the plan immediately at around 14:19, so it was active for less than one hour. Because of this, I wasn’t able to use or benefit from the plan.
    After cancelling it, the agent told me that I would not be charged.

    Later on, I found out that the full charge was still applied. When I followed up with customer support, I was told that “once the plan is active, the charge falls into the billing cycle.” No refund or clear resolution was offered.

    I’ve already emailed MCMC regarding this issue, but I’d also like to ask the community:
    Are there other formal or informal ways to resolve telco billing disputes in Malaysia?
    Has anyone successfully disputed a similar charge with CelcomDigi?
    Is there anything else I should do while waiting for MCMC’s response?

    Any advice or shared experience would be appreciated. Thank you.
