OPPO Announces ColorOS 16 Rollout for More Devices

OPPO has started the stable rollout of ColorOS 16 to nine smartphones in March. The update is based on Android 16. It covers models from the F, Reno, and K series. The rollout began with the OPPO F31 Pro+ and OPPO F31 Pro on March 5. The OPPO K13x followed on March 6. Next, the OPPO Reno12 F, OPPO Reno12 FS, OPPO Reno11 FS, and OPPO K12x will receive it on March 10. The OPPO F31 is set for March 17.

The rollout is staged. Not all devices will get the update at once. The update size is about 3.39GB. Users can check for it in Settings > System & Updates > Software Update.

ColorOS 16 offers a refreshed user interface inspired by light and shadow in nature. This gives a cleaner and more modern look. It includes a Seamless Animation system for fluid navigation, app launches, and multitasking. The Flux Home Screen allows users to resize app icons and folders. It adjusts the layout automatically. The update also features a redesigned Always-On Display.

ColorOS 16 provides long-term smooth performance for up to six years. It uses the All-New Luminous Rendering Engine for unified animations. The Trinity Engine balances CPU and memory for stable output. For gaming, AI HyperBoost 2.0 maintains performance. It supports native 120fps in some titles. AI LinkBoost 3.0 improves network stability.

AI features include the AI Mind Space for saving and organising content. It connects with Gemini for tasks like creating itineraries. Imaging tools offer AI Motion Photo Popout, Eraser, and Slow-Mo. Productivity tools include AI Translate, AI Recording, AI VoiceScribe, and AI Call Summary.

Sharing is easier with O+ Connect for cross-device transfers. Screen Mirroring and Remote PC Control extend functionality to computers.
