  • Samsung has released the stable version of One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy A57. The rollout began in South Korea, where the phone is sold as the Galaxy Quantum 7.

The update carries firmware version A576SKSU2BZIE, as first reported by tipster Tarun Vats. Samsung has not confirmed the download size or the monthly security patch level included in the release.

The launch follows a beta programme that ran for nearly a month. It is the first major operating system upgrade for the device, which was announced in March 2026 with One UI 8.5 on Android 16. Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades for the phone.

The Galaxy A57 runs on the Exynos 1680 chip with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display. It is one of Samsung’s highest-volume mid-range models.

One UI 9.0 brings several refinements. The Quick Panel gains more customisation options, including resizable sliders and a separate sound mode button. Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes and accessibility tools receive upgrades. A new location privacy indicator shows a blue icon in the status bar when an app accesses location data.

The newer AI features Samsung promotes on its flagship devices are not available on the A series. Owners of the Galaxy A57 receive the core Android 17 changes without the Galaxy AI additions.

The stable Android 17 rollout began in July with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, followed by the Galaxy S26 series. Samsung has since extended it to the Galaxy S25 and S24 families. The A series list includes the Galaxy A57, A56, A55, A54, A37, A36 and A35, along with entry-level models.

Samsung usually widens its rollouts to markets such as Malaysia within days of the first release. The company has not published a country schedule. Galaxy A57 owners in Malaysia can check by opening Settings, tapping Software update and selecting Download and install.
