  • Telekom Malaysia (TM) has completed the migration of Unifi Mobile 5G from Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) to U Mobile’s 5G network.

TM confirmed that it had fully vacated DNB’s 5G capacity by 31 July 2026, with no Unifi Mobile traffic carried by DNB after that date.

The move completes TM’s transition to U Mobile under a three-year 5G Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) arrangement and effectively places Unifi Mobile on Malaysia’s second 5G network.

The migration comes after months of disagreement between TM and DNB over the termination of TM’s existing 5G Access Agreement.

There is also a significant financial angle. TM previously recognised a RM127.3 million write-down for unused prepaid DNB 5G MOCN capacity, while the company is simultaneously increasing investment in 5G backhaul infrastructure.
