- YouTube Premium has become more expensive in the US.

The price hike has taken effect for new subscribers. Existing subscribers will see the new prices in early June.The individual plan now costs 15.99 US dollars per month. This is up from 13.99 US dollars. At current exchange rates this equals about 63.44 MYR per month, up from about 55.52 MYR. The yearly price is now 159.99 US dollars, up from 139.99 US dollars. This equals about 635.00 MYR per year, up from about 555.58 MYR.
The family plan now costs 26.99 US dollars per month. This is up from 22.99 US dollars. This equals about 107.13 MYR per month, up from about 91.29 MYR.
The student plan now costs 8.99 US dollars per month. This is up from 7.99 US dollars. This equals about 35.68 MYR per month, up from about 31.71 MYR.
The relaunched YouTube Premium Lite now costs 8.99 US dollars per month. This is up from 7.99 US dollars. This equals about 35.68 MYR per month, up from about 31.71 MYR.
The full Premium service removes ads. It lets users play videos in the background. It enables downloads. It also gives access to YouTube Music. The Lite version does not include YouTube Music. It can still show ads on music videos, Shorts, and in search.
