What are the pros and cons of switching from a Unifi user, and what are your biggest complaints?

Are there noticeable improvements? Do you regret switching? Tell me everything

time/maxis ok a bit. they use unifi infra but the guys providing support on the other end are better than unifis. any downtime usually related physical issues not routing so i can forgive cuz i also network guy.

tldr; for me lah time/maxis is ok so far

I had been using TIME since 2022, from Penang to KL. So far no issue..

I have renewed my contract twice now..cheaper, better speed, more stable than the shitty Unifi.

Switch to Time during the BN era when unifi was 15 mbps and Time was 100 mbps (now 600).

Much cheaper than unifi back then and never had any disruption ever since changing.

No cons. Just pros tbh. Never had a disruption in the 1.5 years I’m using.

No significant complaints. Objectively they’ve been much better than my past experience with Unifi. Any downtime has been kept to a minimum or was a building issue/not the ISP’s fault.

Night and day. I used to live in high rise where time fibre is dominant. I loved it. Great service and had no memories of service interruptions. After 6 years, had to move to landed house for a change of scenery. Had to use unifi and i don’t like it one bit. There’s always service interruption and support? Well i can say it is not as good as time fibre.

From what I can tell and my surveys by staying overnight with friends having TIME, it is superior to unifi in every way. The higher price isn’t so bad considering the issues unifi has, and unifi does have packages going up to TIME level prices without actually providing that same quality of service.

Only downside is the signal strength limitations. Which if didn’t exist I suspect unifi would be relegated to the B40 group.
